Confession

Yesterday in a very casual conversation I learned about an older couple with a daughter already graduated from college. One daughter. No other children. My very first thought was - I wonder if they couldn't have more children or if the one child was adopted. Clearly it doesn't fit in my world order that someone would choose to have just one child. Hmmmm......
