Bring on Summer!!!!

Sabrina turned 1 yesterday so we are officially babyless.Tomorrow Lorelei "graduates" kindergarten and moves up and on to bigger (and hopefully better) things.  Emma has been complaining about school for several weeks and she is ready for a change in the routine (regardless of the fact that she LOVES her preschool) that includes even more time with Mom.

I am a teacher. Part of that identity (and the low salary) is about spending summers with the kids. Two summers ago I decided to keep the (then two) girls home for the summer and really enjoy ourselves. Then Andres found a job in Miami (yeah!) and we ended up moving in a matter of about a month - so the girls went to school and I packed. Last summer Sabrina arrived and the girls went to school to preserve some normalcy to their routine and to give me some measure of sanity.

This summer I have a job already lined up for the fall so I won't be stressing about the job search or wasting time on it. We have a house, a fenced in yard (okay rock pile is a more accurate description), an amazing air-conditioned playhouse, and an inflatable pool. Let the games begin. The girls and I are on a mission to enjoy the next two months like there is nothing more important in all the world. I intend to wear them out so that come August they are begging to go back to school!
