We actually had a rather pleasant laid back morning. Emma slept until almost 9:00 and we stayed in our pjs until almost noon. We picked Lorelei up from school and then the older girls did a great job playing and reading together for several hours, until... that's right until the witching hour. I was at least heartened to realize that when they got crazy and I got crazy was at the hour when we would have all been home even if they had gone to school.
We celebrated Sabrina's birthday with our best buds J2 and their kids C2. Sabrina immediately went for the icing and staked her claim of a sixth of the cake. Lorelei was hoovering nearby trying to prevent Sabrina from grabbing the lit candle and having to suffer the fate of burnt fingers they way Lorelei did on her first birthday. She needn't have worried. The icing was pink and purple and totally distracting from one little flame.
